Curious about TRAI

First, I will give some OTHER info, which then I shall logically connect with TV Channels and their charges as finalised by TRAI.

I have an antivirus for my Mobile handset. It has many ads. I have to bear with the ads because the antivirus is a freeware.

I received an option to run the antivirus WITHOUT ADS. I checked it. It said “Upgrade to Pro version by paying some amount annually.

So… with the Ads, I get it free.
Without Ads, I need to pay the charges.

For the TV Channels..
With the Ads, for those Channels which are FREE, I do NOT pay the charges.
And when I pay the charges, the Channel MUST be Ads Free.

But almost all Paid Channels collect the money from the viewers and also have Ads, so collect from the advertisers too.
So… double Income.
What part of it is illegally shared with TRAI?

In a 30 minute program,the content is 15 minutes and ads are 15 minutes.Ads portion must be reduced to say 7-8 minutes.Then only you will some interest in watching a program. more  
TRAI's redressal ratio is 2%. So what more we can expect from it. By the recent TRAI's order, every customer is expected to select channels and pay for them. In the process, majority pays more than what they were paying prior to this order. In actual situation, service providers lure the customers with the packs so designed and make them to pay more. Similarly, TV channel group airing numerous channels have also designed similar pack of their channels. In a nutshell, customers are taken for granted and end up paying more to watch ads in between the programmes ranging from 1 minute to 5 minutes. Ultimately TV channels and service providers are the kings and NOT the customers. TARI is watching haplessly more  
Your are absolutely correct. When we pay the charges, the Channel MUST be Ads Free. more sony max shows add for 5 mnts.

I agree with Mangesh. I had already suggested the same few days back. I hope TRAI Acts on this. We can also build a campaign so that this is implemented. more
