Corrupt Practices in EPFO

I had submitted my complaint to CPFC, New Delhi vide my letter dated 23-1-2014 against Setu Nigam EPF Trust,Lucknow for financial irregularities, corruption and non payment of my final PF payment.SRO, Lucknow has refused to take any action against the Trust. It is very much clear that corrupt officers / staff in SRO ,Lucknow do not want to take any action against trust because they have received a handsome bribe from the trust. more

I 100% agree with Mr.Ravindra Pateria .Nothing works ,even lodging complain to PMO. more
Member should understand one thing. IF and EPF trust is formed by an organisation, it is called an exempted trust and all EPF contributions (both employee and employer) will remain with the trust and only EPS contributions will be deposited with EPFO (8.33% deducted out of employer's share PF contribution). The trust requires to audit the account every year and submit the report. Similarly the employee's are also given the statement of yearly contributions along with accrued interest. In your querry "there were financial irregularities" they type of irregularity is not known. In case of mismatch of contributions, it might have happened due to deduction of pension fund contributions out of employer's share of PF. If it is so, there will not be any mismatch. As the trust is managed by Setu Nigam any irregularity is there, you may have to take up with the PF Secretary (generally a very senior person from Finance Department). In case you do not receive any reply you may take up with the highest authority in the i.e Chairman, of Setu Nigam giving all details. As long as the trust is complying with all relevant stipulations and rules, any so called irregularities of PF trust are taken up with EPFO, they cannot do much, as they are only watch dog whether the Trust is functioning as per the Rules set out in the Act, and the trust is properly administered. more
Nothing works ,even lodging complain to PMO. It passes through the same bureaucracy and they closes the case without resolving it. PMO doesnot follow up actual resolution. it just forward it to concerned office.Bureaucracy knows the flaw of the system. Another issue is not providing the break up of amount accumulated and certain employer do not submit the complete amount of fund and give less amount to employee. more
Corruption in EPFO can happen between employer & the EPFO. I have been harassed by EPFO for some reason unknowingly done by them where the employer is guilty. But when I address the EPFO I tell them very clearly that it is my money and I will abuse you whenever you call me and shall take you to court as it is not public money. We need to be very strict while dealing with them. Then there is an issue of mediocrity due to many factors (political) and transfers give them an excuse for ignorance. Unfortunately that culture has not been developed in India since independence.....Regards On Fri, 03 Mar 2017 11:17:53 +0530 "Rajendra Kumar Jain" wrote > more
The same practice is happening lot of firms and companies. I have faced the same sort of this issues with my previous employer. I have given complaint to Commissioner of EPF, ministry of labor welfare and a complaint to PM shell also. But no........? Every where corruption is there. We have to file cases against these authorities to have justice . . . .at least . . . more
