Coronavirus Mystery - are India numbers right??

51 cases of Coronavirus in Italy. 16 new cases in the last 3 hours. Absolutely puzzled as to how the India numbers are so low. Pretty sure, it's going around undetected. more

What makes you to be so sure that the cases are undetected? One can always keep doubting the system, there is no remedy for that. more
USED TO JUNK FOO, MAY BE WE HAVE BETTER IMMUNITY LEVELS. FOR THE SAME REASON THE CORONA VIRUS DOES NOT EFFECT CHILDREN, AS THEY HAVE HIGHER IMMUNITY LEVELS. RISING TEMPERATURES ARE ALSO HELPFUL. VEGETARIANISM IS ALSO HELPING. MANY CRAB EATERS HAVE ALSO GONE VEGETARIAN, BOTH IN CHINA AND INDIA more
Dear Shalini ji, the fact remains no government will love to show the correct number in such a panicky situation. The easy accesibility of internet may spread rumours which may go out of control as in the case of lot of other government policy announcement, therefore this Corona Virus issue has to be handled carefully. BTW the indian food habit and the cooking traditions doesnt allow easy spread of this Virus so rapidly like in major eastern asian countries with large non veg eating population. Iran being an exception.....India certainly is not so vulnerable as these countries for their weather conditions and food habits. more
Effect of warmer weather needs to be understood. However, whats more critical is rumours of relapse (in China) and uninfected carriers. more
Suggest file an RTI to the health ministry and health Minister asking for factual update. more
