Why convenience charge - when all efforts for booking a ticket -labour, material(paper,ink), machine(computer,printer, internet), etc. are all borne by the purchaser? In fact, the purchase should get a good discount/rebate for on-line booking. Is the convenience charge is a legalised jargon for tips(or bribe) ? more

Please visit the Airline's Offices (Airport / City) to book your tickets without the Convenience Fee. If you do need / want the convenience, you should be willing to pay for it - why expect it to be free ? more

On online booking of tickets no extra cost is required to be incurred by the facilitators nor any manpower is involved and as such, recovery of additional amount in the name of conveyance charges is not more than profiteering and must be stopped. Not only the airlines but the multiplexes are also involved in this illegal practice, who recover conveyance/internet charges on online booking of tickets which works out to more than 20% of cost of tickets. more

A reasonable convenience charge is justifiable /acceptable. However it should be as a percentage of he transaction with an upper limit. more
