Completion Certificate or Election Funding

South Delhi municipality (SDMC) is sending notices demanding completion certificates for homes built in the past 5 yrs or so. These did not get CCs then, say builders.

At same time so called 'consultants' offering to get this done are asking for the same 10 Lakh fee, 8 lakh of which is being demanded in cash?

Is this election funding? Why cash? more

My thought is why are people seeking consultants for the job! If we have built a home it is a citizen's right to be provided with a completion certificate. Provided the house is built in compliance with building bye laws!! The story of course is something else and everyone knows what's going on outside and inside the MCD offices!!! Here is a chance, if house owners want to bring about change. Fix your wrongly built home and get a certificate without a bribe so that once and for all thus humiliation we all face in our on country stops!!!! more

In Greater Noida, conditional completion issued in 2016, condition being final to be handed over upon time extension. Time extension given in sep. 2018, now they are going through 20 years of file records, finding ways of not releasing !! Who will help here now ? more

Hello This is the apathy of our civil servants and working, just to extract money. I feel this is nothing to do with election funding, but only ways of making money by MCD officials, who are among the most corrupt once, besides Police in the country. MCD has been intentionally sitting on these Completion certificates in connivance with builders and bringing this up to extract money anyhow from innocent owners, they must send notices to the builders instead, making them liable to get these before giving up the possession, but MCD is hand in gloves with the builders so they find easy recourse to owner buyers to extract this extra money. I hope this issue can be taken up seriously to bring the builders and MCD officials to books soon Thanks more
