Good points. Indian Film and TV media has taken the best technology and abused it the most. Trash news and trash films have gotten people addicted, high-tech brainwashing. A hardworking honest government worker, farmer, researcher, teacher, a soldier, a policeman or a firefighter's contribution is never shown, never portrayed as a hero, where a third class fellow shaking his bottom with 10 half naked girls on the beaches of Thailand is interviewed for an hour, with 10 commercials of "become fair in 30 days miracle cream" and of junk food/drink. Why did Mr. J.L. Baird invent TV? So that people can learn using audio visual techniques. He must be rolling and crying in his grave to see the Indian TV programs and Mr. Camarena must be screaming "hey I made colored TV to see people of all colors, if you guys want to paint yourselves white, just buy a Black & White TV, don't insult me". But to be fair, I must give credit for one thing, when these same 50 people dance, wow what synchronization, everybody moves exactly together at twice the speed of Michael Jackson. Why don't we have good timing for anything else? Put these guys in the football team, even if we loose it will be fun to watch. Just joking. Bollywood is fine, as long as it gives the society something useful, some values, somethings to think about and learn. I miss Manoj Kumar's patriotic films, so I am unhappy. Plus I do not like sissy boys using my name and becoming more famous than me. Not fair! They should use that cream more often. Now on a serious note, there are a few channels that show cultural programs, but the bad ones are dominant. So much education on Hygiene, first-aid, moral values, civic sense, science, technology, history, Spoken English, general knowledge can be taught using the same high-tech media, so many positive and encouraging news that can be shown, but only if the government forces them to do so just for 2 hours per day. Media is very powerful, media can change the society. Please use it for helping India wake up and be great.
