Competitive Cleanliness

koun banega crorepati show , Indian idol ,music competition has increased the interest of peoples in general knowledge ,singing ,music . Really competitive environment is necessary for development . This idea can be used for achievement of cleanliness everywhere . Can we start one TV program which will show the story of one village /town every day and will select village of the week . This will increase the interest of peoples towards cleanliness. Also leader have to take round in their area every week as a surprise visit so that they come to know exact position . Leaders are required to travel without any intimation to public ,departments through general bogies of express trains at once. They will come to know the reality ,requirement and development
Competition for becoming best clean area /city /Village will make the whole state Clean. The Grants /funds should also be based on the work done earlier. more

"Hum sudharenge Yug sudhrega" everyone should see his surroundings are neat and clean. If any one spoils the area, it should be a civil crime and he should immediately be punished to clean the entire area of the street/town/village etc. more
i agree. Program on cleanliness may create an interest among people to start the work by themselves more
I agree more
Good points. Indian Film and TV media has taken the best technology and abused it the most. Trash news and trash films have gotten people addicted, high-tech brainwashing. A hardworking honest government worker, farmer, researcher, teacher, a soldier, a policeman or a firefighter's contribution is never shown, never portrayed as a hero, where a third class fellow shaking his bottom with 10 half naked girls on the beaches of Thailand is interviewed for an hour, with 10 commercials of "become fair in 30 days miracle cream" and of junk food/drink. Why did Mr. J.L. Baird invent TV? So that people can learn using audio visual techniques. He must be rolling and crying in his grave to see the Indian TV programs and Mr. Camarena must be screaming "hey I made colored TV to see people of all colors, if you guys want to paint yourselves white, just buy a Black & White TV, don't insult me". But to be fair, I must give credit for one thing, when these same 50 people dance, wow what synchronization, everybody moves exactly together at twice the speed of Michael Jackson. Why don't we have good timing for anything else? Put these guys in the football team, even if we loose it will be fun to watch. Just joking. Bollywood is fine, as long as it gives the society something useful, some values, somethings to think about and learn. I miss Manoj Kumar's patriotic films, so I am unhappy. Plus I do not like sissy boys using my name and becoming more famous than me. Not fair! They should use that cream more often. Now on a serious note, there are a few channels that show cultural programs, but the bad ones are dominant. So much education on Hygiene, first-aid, moral values, civic sense, science, technology, history, Spoken English, general knowledge can be taught using the same high-tech media, so many positive and encouraging news that can be shown, but only if the government forces them to do so just for 2 hours per day. Media is very powerful, media can change the society. Please use it for helping India wake up and be great. more
