College Education in India - Key Issues
Dear Friends:
Some of you had written to us about your concerns related to quality of College Education in India.
One of the primary concerns was the gap between true learning and clearing exams. Others were on the donations needed in some private colleges to admit a student and the employability of graduates produced.
With this post we would like to request all members to raise issues with the current college education system in India.
Our objective would be to have a structured discussion and generate a whitepaper that can be shared with Ministry of HRD, Department of Higher Education so actions can be taken to strengthen and improve the College Education in India.

Aided education upto graduation is required to save Families of employee in govt. & private under transfers. more

Eversince the EDUCTION fell within the mantle of BUSINESS or profit making task, the learning process fell in jeopardy.Educator has different motive and learner has different outlook.Result , as we see today, is unwarranted.High cost of education did make the large sect inaccessible to it.Suitable candidates are denied opportunity.Guides are no longer GURUS.Quality and Qualifications are at peril.Redefine all. more

1. Recently my son passed out from 12th class .. what i find is their is an enormous disparity between state education system and Central board system . Obtaining mark is so easy in State board that this time around 10000 students scored 100 in Maths in TN state board !!! 2. Atleast 1.5 lacs engg students from TN alone . with so many students passing out , do we have jobs for all these students ? what is the dream we are selling them? industry particpation and colloboration is required in a big way to ensure they are skilled to be obsorbed by the market . Otherwise we will end up as a nation of just average graduates who have missed put on skillsets. 3. Most of colleges do not have proper faculty and infrastructure . Continuous evaluation and monitoring of the colleges should be done by center HRA . Industry support and government aid is required urgently so that students do not suffer. more

Faculty available are not properly trained and sometimes also having lack of knowledge They did not teach properly more
