Coercion for Vaccination

In some housing societies in East Delhi, no domestic help is allowed to enter without proof of vaccination. This is coercion and not legally permissible.

Can LocalCircles take this up? more

can u allow a virus to enter ur premises if yes then this is coercion more
RIGHT APPROACH BY RWAs BUT EVEN MORE RIGHT WOULD BE TO GET GUARDS, GARDNERS, CLEANERS, ETC. VACCINATED. MANY RWAs COLLECT GOOD AMOUNT OF MAINTENANCE FUND, USUALLY MORE THAN REQUIRED. SURPLUS FUNDS BE UTILIZED TO VACCINATE PEOPLE FROM MARGINALIZED SECTION OF SOCIETY. more
The housing society must ensure free vaccinations for domestic helps, or paid for by employers, and then make such a rule, let us remember, the helps' livelihoods depends on their working, therefore, some sensitivity must be exercised. Cannot use their services when we need, and site a rule for our personal safety, whenever we find convenient, unless the are paid compensatory allowance too, so that the employers have a stake in getting over the situation too. After all the affluent have their safety, including working online and earning, while those serving them for a compensation, have been mostly fending for themselves under such a pandemic. more
I don't think it is illegal for the management of the Colony to deny permission to a maid without vaccination particularly when such a person under the Disaster Management Act is bound to carry out instructions of the public authorities to vaccinate. Though the RWAs are legally toothless but recently the District Magistrates and SDMs have under DM Act started passing on lot of instruction under that act which makes RWAs to assist in Govt effort to stop the prevailing wide spread infection. more
Right move for the society residents. What's the guarantee that these maids ate not the virus carriers. more
