Cancer what it is and what we should know

Dear Friends,

I was coerced into writing about the cancer to a common mans understanding by Mr Sharma. reasons were simple: 1. we are scared of this dreaded disease and 2. we have a lot of forward looking statements on the money and the business remarks that are understood by many who suffer or have seen their near ones suffer from this malady, each day fearing to loose them like some others moan and miss their dear ones lost to the battle we daily come across and that brings us here to share our anxiety and angst with the community to FIGHT CANCER TOGETHER.
Last almost over 23 years i have been looking to read and understand cancer and related ailments better to help my patients in every possible manner and the type with latest technologies, tests and even newer drugs that could be available to them through trials or govt. initiatives. My endeavours and patents did not allow me even a second thought and i currency run a self funding lab at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai (a not for profit facility).
However my teams quest seems to be never-ending in search for cure and support cancer patients. more we dig, the knowledge and the experience takes us closer to our ignorance and the way we treat. understanding cancer is however very simple, treating the most challenging!
Cancer is very well understood so far as a disease that is caused due to change in a DNA code sequence that is many a times the wrath of the environment, inherited or a change that seeps out by pure chance. These changes in DNA are called as mutations. i am not going into the types of brevity and simplicity of our readers to get a better understanding. The DNA code that we have in each and every cell in the human body is the same but some sequences are sleeping or not active as they are not supposed to perform all functions. in other words they are supposed to perform and are active specific to the functions of the cell they exist in.
Having said that it is also true that these codes of DNA sequence we may not know about on a regular basis may exist but in a cell that is supposedly sleeping or may not be active to perform a function. This means we, Yes and I, we all have cancer OR are at least predisposed to have cancer. If you do not agree then at least agree that we have more risk to have some cancers that are familial and are caused across the germline cells. Others are called somatic to briefly cover changed that occur due to chance or environment we live in.
Don't get scared, even if we have this undiscovered change in us, this may not be active, but also that the regions that may further control an active DNA sequence that causes cancer can actually be tamed or say partially controlled through Environment and lifestyle. I can say this for many (hundreds) of my patients have significantly over long periods avoided the spread after first diagnosis. These regions are called promoter regions of genes (long dna sequences that have a code to perform a function).

I remember quoting in my blog (endyourillness.com) that the oldest and the most initial cancer specimen is now dated 1.7 Billion years and is supposed to be a bone cancer specimen. May be cancer existed even then or it was not called cancer or given words like carcinoma, sarcoma etc.

Besides inheritance, predisposition, risk factors and environment, deficiencies of Vitamins & Minerals also cause changes in human body. Not just this there are many biochemical processes that are hence or otherwise affected to cause changes in the DNA and may have ability to form a tumour or cancer of sorts.

Talking about one vitamin or one mineral being short in the body, which we call deficiency, is not the only reason, for I have captured the reasons above. We shall talk about vitamins separately and each type very soon, what symptoms it may cause and may not be a very serious issue. Likewise I must cover the B 17 now that has raised many eyebrows and concerns. My able reader who referred to a B 17 issue may be forgot to share that:

Recommended Intake of Vitamin B17
At this time, there is no established daily value of vitamin B17 from the USDA. However, many physicians specializing in cancer treatment use vitamin B17 (or laetrile) in relatively high doses without patients commonly experiencing side effects.
Vitamin B17 isn’t used by many people who are relatively healthy and not suffering from a serious condition like cancer, so it’s hard to establish what the best preventative dose might be without more evidence or research.

Is Vitamin B17 Safe?
Although many studies find vitamin B17 to be safe for human consumption, more information is still needed to determine the most effective dose, possible toxic reactions and long-term side effects of high doses.
Toxicity resulting from cyanide poisoning is much higher when vitamin B17 is given orally, because intestinal bacteria contain enzymes that activate the release of cyanide found in vitamin B17 and make its effects much more drastic and quick-acting. However, when vitamin B17 laetrile is injected, this rarely occurs.
Because the evidence is unclear, I recommend obtaining vitamin B17 from food sources rather than high doses of supplements. While food sources may provide smaller doses, they’re always a safer option that poses much less of a risk than extracts and pills.

To avoid cancer or any other disease,plz. abstain from white crystal sugar and sugary products, salt and salty products,oil and oil/ghee based/fried products,milk and all dairy/bakery products. All plant grown eatables already contain adequate amounts of sugar,salt, oils/fat,minerals/vitamins,proteins, carbohydrates and in easily digestible form. Hence, go back to nature,leave all chemical based/artificial products and remain fit throughout. more
