Clean Air
I work in Hi-tech city, night shifts. After log-off, while traveling to home, I see lot of pollution settled down in the air. And I do see many people doing morning walk, jogging, exercise, etc. I do not see breathable air during morning hours, except when it rains. When rain comes, all the pollution is the air gets dissolved in the water & goes into the drains. However, when there is no rain & air is polluted, how come well educated people are doing exercise to uplift their health? The big trees are not being watered to give fresh air after sunrise. Neither is there any air filter which clears the air in the park areas, where most people do early morning exercises. Can any one please suggest alternatives to stop breathing polluted air during morning hours? more

Hi all.... thank you for all the comments..... I'm currently trying to find a solution to decrease the effects of pollution per person.... somethings like smoke/pollution filters, rebreathers.... ideas of such.... anyone who is aware of any such thing... plz share or if anyone has any such ideas.... present them in any forum so that everyone will benefit from it..... more

Dust and smoke are the two main ingredients. GHMC sweepers only raise the dust already settled on the ground. Instead, it should be vacuum collected and disposed at designated places. GHMC burns the garbage it collects. Also, people in the hutments burn plastic and other material to get relief from cold and for cooking purpose. All these practices should be stopped. Most of the poor people have now received gas connections and they should use it, unless illegally sold to the affluent families or hotels or eateries to make money. more

I am living in Hyderabad from 1959 - Day by day the city is becoming bad to worse. All trees have been removed. No greenery. Roads or bad. Dust will be flying every where. If I go out for two hours whole night I cough. If I go out of Hyderabad and renter back to city - I get sick due to Pollution. Worlds worst Municipality is Hyderabad. Basically Hyderabad person is lazy. We call it NAWABI attitude. No one works sincerely. Added to that is the Corruption. Leaders are interested in their collection and no one bothers about City. In fact once upon time it was LIVE City - Today it is dying city.Autos, many Buses, Private carriers blow out smoke. Added to that many of them mix kerosene adding to problem. One thing is sure NO ONE Person from Hyderabad goes to hell after death since he is all-ready suffering the effects of hell here. more

What else the people of Hyderabad can do except getting adjusted to the pollution to keep up their health by morning walk and jogging. To keep fit the other way many people follow is to have a threadmill in the house and use it to main their health. If the Government is serious they should grow more trees and take care of them. Hoping for the betterment is the only solace for us at this moment. Thanks for taking initiative in gthis matter more

Emissions from small scale industry like plastic recycling ,brick kilns,glass bangle making,two stroke engine emissions like scooters,mobiles,auto rikshaws,sweeping by brooms ,dumping of building material,construction rubble lifting - these are only some of the factors.open garbage burning in winters specially is the most habbit of our workers and they Will not listen to law.and we need to curb on the spot by green patrols. General factors are well know. more
