Civic Issues of Importance to the Common Citizens

Pls consider the following Issues of Importance to the Common Citizens :

1) Reclamation of Footpaths from Encroachers so pedestrians can have a safe place to walk - both in Residential Areas & Markets

2) Develop innovative plans to ensure that vehicles can be parked properly without causing obstructions to pedestrian movement & vehicle movement.

3) Enforce rigorous clean-up & fumigation policies to ensure timely action in order to prevent the onset of deadly communicable diseases such as Dengue / Chikenguniya - which keep returning every year.

4) Formulate & Implement Policies to Identify & Rectify the locations which are most prone to water logging during monsoons to prevent re-occurrence of water logging, as has become the norm every year.

5) Formulate policies to ensure that road maintenance & upkeep is taken up more frequently & pro-actively - this would help reduce traffic jams cause due to slow movement on pot holed roads.

6) Civic Authority Officials / Councilors etc to connect with the Citizens through Online Platforms - such as Local Circles , Twitter , WhtsApp etc.

7) Strengthen the Grievance Redressal Mechanisms & work in Transparent Manner more

I have found that the Govt wants to act only on complaint if they feel to do so on whims, recently I observed that the AAP MLA come for some inauguration in our colony and the Footpaths and the area before the shops are encroached by the shopkeepers. Our MLA was enjoying their hospitality on the day overlooking the encroachments. He is residing next a hardly a 1 KM from this sight and may be crossing that area daily overlooking the things. This is how we works more
You may be aware that everything is on record of law. All this depends on the implementing agencies. The implementing agencies are not serious on the implementation of the policy. Every common citizen is interested in civic amenities. They are paying the hefty amount but are deprived of their rights. Dust and garbage can be seen all around. There is no cleanliness. The Garbage lifting vehicle comes once in fortnight. The Ruling party of Civic agencies should care of all these. They are only concerned about money and do not care the comforts of common citizen. These parties make hue and cry and imposing their responsibilities on others. The common citizen understand every thing but they are helpless. Govt should frame a hard common code of conduct in this regard and non-implementation by the Govt servants should be held responsible for any lapses. Ram Yadav more

Thanks One more critical thought came to mind, we must have MCD Lok Adalat, like we use to have for MTNL and DESU in the past, to resolve consumer issues, same ways MCD issues can be resolved faster throughsuch lok adalats, so as to have large relief to common man.... thanks more
