Children - When to get them tested for H1N1

My child 4 year old has gotten fever 100-103.5 range since last 24 hours. Mild cough cold but she has had 3 vomits.

Should we be concerned and get her tested for H1N1? What symptoms to watch for in kids more

I personally feel with vomit most of the cough is out she may be got checked from yr family doctor. Nothing to very more

don't be in a panic Observe the child for 2-3 days - if fever is responding to Calpol,Crocin ( paracetamol) and Child's behavior is not very irritable - and after the fever is down - starts eating and plays for 2-3 hours - you can continue the treatment and consult your family doctor. Even swine flu responds to normal treatment . and patient becomes alright in 4-5 days..Test for swine flu is advised on 4-5 days if patient is not improving and coninutes to worsen. more

Yes - Please get it tested by a qualified doctor. .. . We see increasing number of cases of H1N1 in Delhi/NCR now a days. We as parents do have tendency to go with the home medicines first but go for a check first and follow doctor's advice on this. more

Please do take her to a experienced paediatrics or GP asap. Symptoms are clearly indicating of H1N1, though normal flu also give similar systems. In parallel get her tested since it takes 24-48 hrs for the results more
