child trafficking

In India, there is a large number of children trafficked for various reasons such as labour, begging, and sexual exploitation.
Because of the nature of this crime; it is hard to track; therefore making it impossible to have exact figures regarding this issue.
FIgures
----Only 10% of human trafficking in India is international, while almost 90% is interstate. Nearly ----40,000 children are abducted every year of which ----11000 remain untraced according to a report by the National Human Rights Commission of India.
----NGO’s estimate that 12,000-50,000 women and children are trafficked into the country annually from neighbouring states for the sex trade[1]
---There is an estimated 300,000 child beggars in India
---Every year, 44,000 children fall into the clutches of the gangs
---According to UNICEF, 12.6 million children are engaged in hazardous occupations.

Causes---Poverty,unemployment,no strict laws against child traffickers,No fear in culprits,No strong action done as a nation to address this issue

Solutions--###for children induced in sex trade###
There are a lot of known brothels and red light areas in various areas of the country...It is possible to build a team of lady police officers supported by a few male police officers who raid on such brothels...
They should arrest every girl present in such area and counseled to identify such girls who have been forced into the trade...Once such girls are identified ,there should be attempts to send them back home to their parents...
All the girls below 18 yrs of age whose parents cannot be traced ,should be sent to rehabilitation centers and efforts should be made to help them live a normal live...

If the govt succeeds to identify 500 such girls and help them live a normal life, the move would be definitely appreciated....

A strong will is required to take up such causes.. more

1. Everybody fights for their rights , properties & earnings. None & no institution steps ahead for the address under the Constitution. 2. India has eminent Advocates who can well establish the Objective & Concept of the Articles , Clauses . 3. Every State individually also has power backed and wealthy Political Parties while none interested to address the Indian Children . And, none is interested to prevail such a Society that is Safe and Secure for the honest & renowned Indian Women. 4. India also possess many rewarded Social Personalities but still none is interested to try for a Unity for the Safety & Security of Indian Children and Women . AT-LEAST SOME OF OUR PARTICIPANTS THOSE ARE ENOUGH SUPPORTED WITH FINANCES IF CALL FOR FORMATION OF A FORM WITHIN OURSELVES TO APPROACH THE SUPREME COURT AND THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA AND , THE PRIME MINISTER TO ACHIEVE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CERTAIN ARTICLES THAT HELP INDIAN CHILDREN , POOR CITIZEN OF ALL PLACES , AND WHICH CARRIES THE INDIAN INTEGRITY , FRATERNITY AND HONESTY WITH THE HERITAGE . Please think on these lines for a permanent process of Justice and Welfare to Indians and the Indian Nation . more
Somebody has to take an initiative more
INDIA is a weird country, where human-being are mass produced & treated like cattle. Unless, a very sincere/ honest effort/ campaign is launched by a "PAN India NGO" with 'All India Infrastructure & Funds to safely accommodate/ educate/ train & suitably place these children....this problem of exploitation of Child Trafficking will remain alive, as ever... more
Our police force is very capable of sorting this issue but the thing that is missing is they cannot do anything themselves unless instructed by the authorities....Its an appeal to the authorities to save innocents from such traps...save them..Dont defame them...rehabilate them... more
The civil society should be sensitive to such matters more
