Cheating by Tata Sky

We all know that Tata is a reliable brand and keeping in mind that I had subscribed Tata Sky DTH Service. Since last 20-25 days "Sony Mix" channel is not running under my subscription. Whenever I complain to Tata Sky they tell that they would send mechanic for a Service Charges of Rs. 170/-.

In my case all other subscribed channels except "Sony Mix" are running properly. Thus it is a technical problem of Tata Sky. Since this is technical problem of Tata Sky, Tata Sky must fix it free of cost.

However, for each and every problem, for visit of technician Tata Sky use to Charge Rs. 170/-. This is just unfair means of earning. And these charges sometimes are more than Subscription Charges.
This is just due to monopolistic situation of DHT Service Providers. Hence Govt. must allow portability in DTH Service as early as possible. more

It's with regards to "Set Top Box". The consumer pays for the new Box but Tata sky hardly installs new box, it's refurbished one and no warranty period, replacement had to be paid by the consumer. If my remote control is bad, technician will bring the refurbished remote control and I will get the bill for remote control plus technician's visit. Tata sky may not ask me for the money but deducts it from the package. Another breach of contract by Tatasky is it removes the channels from the Pack on its own with out informing me. I will get to know when the display says pay for it. Complete law of jungle. Some good service provider is the need of the time. Like Jio which has set right the Telecom Sector.(now you can get even better service than Jio). Let's wait, how long this loot continues! more  
Tata Sky is a company in which the rules are only for them. If you receive the call for any free channel do not accept otherwise they will add up the channel after 5 days free subscription. Tata Sky call to my wife and told her that the channel is added for free for 5 days, do you accept it or not? My wife think that this is free so there is no harm but after 5 days without any prior notice the channel add up in my subscription. This is not the way basically. After 5 days Tata Sky has to take permission from me before adding the channel into my subscription. But Tata Sky do not do so and deduct the amount from my balance. I got to know this b'coz I pay on monthly basis. I do not pay amount yearly basis to avoid any type of fraud from Tata Sky. I am not happy with Tata Sky. more  
Go to the Sony Channel that you want to view. It will display a mobile number to which you have to give a missed called from your registered mobile. Within the next five minutes the channel will be available to you again. It is one time exercise. Trust this will help. more  
Off late Tata Sky is more on advertisement and Pay channels.Its entertainment part to the customer is reducing year by year.Now I think new ventures like Jio should start its TV program and give competition.Even the charges are approx double in comparison to Cable TV. more  
For Past one month I could see only Sun TV & all other channels could not be seen. Complaint once in Sept again on 3rd Oct, 10th Oct, 14th Oct & today too 23rd Oct. First they said need to change the set-top box, when I ask a logical question HOW only one channel can be seen but not other channels & they are unable to answer & repeatedly asked me to change the Set top box. Later when I was called by the out sourced Service center I repeated the same question and the lady agreed with the Logic and promise to sent a SENIOR Technician. He too came and pulled all wires and try his best to with a serviced set top box and nothing happened returned. Thereafter no one contacted me. As the lady at the out sourced Service center gave her number to contact for follow up and she firmly said that i need to change the Set top box and since the set top box was our of stock she informed that she had place the order against my old set top box & it will take 2 or 3 days to reach on 11th Oct 18 over the phone. I had left for a foreign visit & gave that lady's contact no to follow up.. In spite of my wife consistently tried the number but in vain. Her name was given as Priya and she never returned the call in spite of many missed call. I came back from my foreign trip yesterday and found nothing happened tried call Ms. Priya but no response and I called up Customer service & the officer in turn put me to escalation Dept. after I narrated the whole incident in sequence. He was quite helpful and immediately took action and within minutes the same Ms. Priya called and said that she would send some senior technician & when intervene about the set top she had ordered she said abruptly said everything the technician will take care and refuse to Liston to me when I wanted remind what she said about the st top box she had order from HO as it is almost 10 days. The technician had come today & informed that he would trysolve everything by today itself and he did solve by changing the LNP in the Antenna and the set top box and said an amount of Rs 500 for LNP & Rs 700 for the box would be deducted from my account. It is trap by TATA Sky as even if I wanted to the change the service provider it would not be possible as Only on 24th Sep I had paid a full year subscription which will not be refunded if we opt for other service Provider in any case. So it too more than 25 days for the TATA Sky people solve the problem for all these day they had taken subscription for service not utilized.. but again requested the escalation team to request for refund of subscription for 1 month at least. more
