Cheating by Bharathi Airtel

This is regarding Bharti Airtel. For only talktime recharge they have mentioned in pack details validity not applicable but after we recharge the send an SMS stating validity is for 28 days. When enquired they said it is only for main account balance but even that after every 28 days they are debiting till your balance is zero and then ask you to recharge and also stop all incoming calls.. So where is that validity not applicable clause applicable. When asked they are saying it is trai complainant. I would like to know whether not mentioning anything in the pack details then after recharge mentioning the details is trai complainant? I am all telecom services are doing this and cheating the gullible customers. more

Many of the service providers are now resorting to such practices. They are asking for monthly recharge with a stipulated amount with no TT value to continue the services even for those which are for life time. This trend has developed after Jio came into being and captured the major market share forcing other companies to resort to such illegal practices for their own existance. more
Why do you stick to these organizations who you complain are cheating. Go in for BSNL services. They have no hidden agenda and do not take you for a ride. Their profit if any goes to the people of India as it is ma Public Sector Company. I am a user of their services for well over 40 years and I am satisfied. If more customers go in for BSNL services they will break even and their services will improve. Profit at all cost is not the motive of public sector undertakings, unlike in private companies BSNL employees from the Chairman to the technician are approachable. Go in for BSNL more
My observation is that there is no transparency in pre-paid recharge plans. What is mentioned in the plan before recharge does not match with the conditions applied after recharge. In reality what happens may be some thing else...... more
I purchased 2 sims 15 years as life time cards from Airtel at a cost of Rs.1000/- each and it was said that all incoming services are free. However, now all these benefits are withdrawn without any communication after the introduction of pack tariff. Sims are issued for Rs. 25/- each. Now, you need to recharge for every 28 days even to avail incoming services which is against the natural justice. TRAI has turned deaf ears to all the complaints. This is now followed by all telecom service providers including state owned BSNL. Will Telecom Minister interfere and solve this matter. more
All telecom companies have started doing this post the entry of Jio. Earlier we had long duration voice packs / validity packs. But after the Jio recharge packs were given a go ahead by the TRAI (in spite of objections by all telecom companies), which blocks your connection after the expiry of the pack. All the telecom operators have copied this model. Although now the difference is that for low usage customers or the customers who want to use the number for only incoming purpose there is 28 day recharge cycle. wherein after every 28 days you need to recharge with a minimum amount to keep the number working. This recharge gives you 0 or a very low outgoing balance. So to make outgoing calls you need to recharge with any amount of your choice. Thjs amount is your balance in the account which is deducted when you make an outgoing call and does not have a validity. After 28 days if you do not recharge your number for validity then your balance amount (which you have kept to make outgoing calls) will get deducted and your validity will increase automatically. but your balance will reduce by equivalent amount. So remember there is no free lifetime incoming calls now and we have to pay a minimum monthly rental to keep using the number. more
