Chandigarh - Delhi highway beware near Panipat

Anybody travelling at night through the Chandigarh-Delhi stretch needs to be very careful. Yesterday close friends had a bad time somewhere nearing Panipat. They were chased by robbers and had a harrowing experience. They only escaped with great difficulty.

The highway patrol or police number just didn't work. more

This area was never safe. Now it may be escalated due to unemployment in the area. Police is as usual inactive. It's better to take protection at your own. more

It may be true, as this belt near Panipat to Sonipat is not secure. I heard some an others cases about robbery, so be careful more

I believe you.... The change of government in Punjab made it possible otherwise, it was an impossible thing! Only AK and its people can make it possible to shoot artist on the road on the very first month of appointment... The people of Punjab asked for it and now they are getting flavor of it... Wait for more, Punjab... termites and power-hungry people have one common thing, they are small but at the same time they are so powerful that they can make the living a hell! more

This is strange Harsimran as I thought that Delhi - Chandigarh or Delhi - Punjab Highway was the safest of the Highways. I had travelled with family on many occasions without caring about the Time but this is Scary. Thanks for sharing. Regards, sameer more
