Caste Based Reservations

The idea of Family Income is not tenable. In our system INCOME CERTIFICATES for any amount can be bought for few hundred to few thousand rupees. I know of people who are not at all with low income and they got allotment of Residential Plots/Houses meant for Low Income Groups. They might have paid just few hundred or few thousand rupees and the plots/houses become worth millions. They will be looking for the best proposition to sell as they have no interest in occupying the premises for own living.
Actually the Government should provide BETTER EDUCATION FACILITIES at SCHOOL, COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY and PROFESSIONAL LEVELS with low expenses as used to be the case till about 30-40 years back. That will provide opportunities to all including those who are presently not getting proper opportunities to rise. That will BRIDGE the GAP effectively. Also, the Heartburn that is simmering will reduce.
This is my personal view. more

Sir, you captioned as Caste Based Reservations - but the body of your post doesn't reveal the same! Are you For or Against "Caste Based R" ? I can reveal you- I am AGAINST "CBR" but I support "CLASS (socio-economical) Based Reservations". I am for removing the CASTE column/row in any Public docs/ applications/ certificates etc. Let the Caste Systems/ customs/ traditions be Private - within the limits of One's family; more

Total assets should also be included when filing income tax every year. If he has net assets worth, say Rs. 1 crore and above, they do not need reservation at all, irrespective of their income. To include more people into tax bracket, there should be one more quota: Those who pay more than Rs. 5L in income tax, say for 5 years period, they should be given reservation in colleges. more
