Are small time traders- having turnover below 20 lakhs, having official Vat numbers since ages- not proper business people, then why cannot they be provided with simplified Gst facility utilisation and refunds or adjustments against purchases from larger Gst registered manufacturers or suppliers? Why have same complicated filing processes for a small trader with 20L turnover and a business house with 20 or 200 or 2000 core turnover???. Please help or suggest better compliance options for them, as they do not have the heavy profit margins and money power to spend on complex process of GST more
given that the ultimate top objective was to have one tax rate - simplicity was and is supposed to be THE most essential ingredient if success of its implementation is to be achieved with such a large population where internet and online connectivity is still not developed, where more than half the biz men are not literate.....there is still a SGST and a CGST slapped on every product sold....while the CGST for a product might be common across the country, the SGST hopefully is also a fixed percentage across all States for a specific product?? And certainly the forms and processes to be simplified is why this was thought of in the first place!! more
You have to get your facts right. Only one return is to be filed. The other two returns are generated by the system. You have simply edit those in case there are any mistakes in it. If you do not correct, system generated return will be treated as final. more
1. GST Website should be strong enough to sustain the traffic the whole country puts in. 2. It can be simplified, continues efforts should be on. The GST Council must take feed back form Businessmen, common people and from Consultants and Auditors on monthly basis which helps to simplify further. 3. make it users friendly. 4. So many business sectors are misusing GST introduction and whether applicable or not they (opportunists) have increased the rates for each and every products. This should be controlled now otherwise GST will have negative impact on public. 5. Clarity and awareness is missing, every day all the News papers and Media across the country should should arrange some kind of awareness programme for both business sector and public to understand this system better. 6. make the filing process simple and one Form should have all the details and be filed in one go, thereafter give 10 days time for auto reconciliation and adjustment of Tax Credits and the info be sent to the respective Co., for making payment. So, may be filing by 15th and payment by 25th will simplify the process further. Its a very good system and it will give a good result in the coming years. more
Definitely One single reasonable rate for all taxable articles can be mad. For wxample if we add al;l the tax ranges-5,12,18,&28 Rotal 63 divided by 4 around 15% can be charged so it will be easier for all and input credit also will be easier to avail. Same way forms also can be simplified. Will the Government think of it?? more
