Bureaucracy of India - Inputs on Issues

Dear Friends:

While some positives have emerged in the late 6 months, this is one area that needs massive transformation.

With this post, we would like to specifically ask key issues you have experienced working with Central Government and State Government Bureaucrats.

Be as specific and direct as you can in your response. Let us list all the issues with Indian Bureaucracy. We will then work the Root Causes and Solutions and submit the whitepapers to stakeholders who can take actions.

I look forward to your inputs!

The importance of bureaucracy will come out if people comes to know how bureaucrats are involved in passing the bills that are pending in the parliament, those are the bills which actually gets delayed due to no proper solutions arrived by the officers of that department. It is the officer who interact with their sub-ordinates who actually involve in the problem and should get a solution to overcome these problems. more
Ranbir Sinha, Thanks for support, I am also technocrat like you. more
Need of hour is specialist to run each ministry and not generalist (IAS officers). more
We need a fresh breed of officers to oversee the changes otherwise those Jugaadwala's will derail all the efforts but putting some loop holes, be it in drafting the procedures, implementing the system or anything that sort - they will leave some room for maneuver corruption. So the government should be very careful in selecting the team. more
