Budget 2015 - Feedback and Implementation

Dear Friends:

Thanks for you responses on our budget submission.

Many of our inputs relating to individual income tax deductions as well as manifesto items (Black Money Recovery mechanism, expediting GST, Increasing taxes on luxury items, encouraging SME) were incorporated in the budget.

Yes, the big bang recommendations on abolition of all taxes and introduction of transactions tax did not see the light of the day.

The increase in Service Tax is a definite concern for middle class as it negatively impacts cost of services.

If you have additional inputs on the Budget or on what the Government can effectively implement the big schemes announced (For ex: MUDRA), do share them.

We will be submitting a whitepaper based on collective inputs on Budget Feedback, Poll and Implementation Suggestions to the Minister of State, Finance in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for your participation!

I agree with Somanathan 's view points. Implementation of sanctions /allocations/promises by Govt is very important without remainding by oppositions /other supporting parties /public. Mostly Govt is failing due to non fulfillment of commitments, made during budget. Hoping Modi Govt will fulfill the promises /commitments of Budget G.K.Naidu, Hyderabad more
The vision of the Budget is fulfilled only when the Government ensures that the benefits percolate to the grass root level with the least effort on the part of end beneficiary. The Home loan of an existing borrower, who might have availed it at 9% goes up to 10.5% now, whereas a new borrower is allowed loan at10%. Some Banks collect some percentage of the outstanding to migrate to the new scheme. Even public sector does not value the loyalty and affiliation of a longstanding customer, while luring a new customer with reduced rates. Since the rating is based on the government Rules and RBI directives, this differentiation or transition charges are not tenable. Similarly a lot of benefits offered to the common man of the country, gets appropriated at different levels of administration or intermediary, and the procedure laid are used as tools to delay or deny it to the deserving. The very identification of the person itself becomes an issue, when the government has invested huge money on Adhar. If deployed properly, there is no need for any document including Ration Card, Bank card, Health Insurance card, voters ID or whatsoever, when the bio metrics of a person is the true id to empower him to receive any befits from anywhere or to authorize him for any transaction. Vision has to flow into deployment and utilization of the resources already invested in as well. Spending on parallel or superfluous identity is wastage of public money and may be used as a tool for falsification or misappropriation. more
The deductions provided should be realstic child edduction is mere Rs. 200 per month, it is not even sufficient to cover the cost of transport school, leave behind Tution Fee Increase in medical expense is good thing that happened more
Keep checks and balances at every step. If you can remove corruption, you will see PROgress, but if you do not you will see CON Gress again. more
Though government is having a tight rope walking, it should spend more on education, i.e. it should help start more central schools upto Standard XII. Otherwise how the government is going to develop skills which is vital for more employment. Lower middle and poor people cannot educate their children in private schools where education has become very costly. Right to Education Act has only very limited scope. more
