Seems like The Finance Ministry today adviced banks not to collect any charge on transactions or payments made through electronic mode & has asked banks to immediately refund the charges collected, if any, on or after 1st January 2020 attached notification

If I remember correctly, this was a big ask in the circle? Zero transaction fee more

I have same experience of nationalised Bank charging for SMS .I asked to stop the messaging but they neglect my request and continued charging quarterly But when I have given in writing and threatened to complaint then they took notice of it and stopped my sms service more

All digital transactions should be free of cost in interest of Digitalization & Digital India.Further digital frauds should also be curbed by taking strict measures & Laws. more

That is good. But what about the banks that charge for the services like message notification. Axis Bank has been charging ₹15 + GST quarterly for message notification service. This is absurd. Is anyone else's bank charging the same. Also are these charges fine to pay.? more

No, that is the concern. ICICI & IDBI banks are not charging for same. And that is the reason I thought of highlighting this point here. more

Not just Axis bank. All banks charge quarterly charges for SMS. This seems to be a mean and petty thing to do. more
