bengal needs to develop with the rest of the country

bengal is too politically sensitive place and due to this issue corporate giants do not want to invest here.. it needs to have an urgent corrective action otherwise the young generation here has to keep moving out for proper rather decent employment.. here an important point I would like to mention.. most of the citizen of here at least I am not unhappy with the initiatives of the present government, they are trying their level best but due to poor governance and some wrong decisions taken by the earlier government we are still suffering a lot and to add that the state becoming a battle ground of political parties.. I do not want to be judgmental that who is wrong and who is right.. what I feel is that now as we have got a government at central with full majority not depending on any one.. so if they want they can implement any strong decision or may offer some sound policies for bengal for it's economical development.. we have brains we have intentions to do well but can not find a proper ground to implement those.. more

its nt that @kaustubh.. emami being a FMCG gient is operating from kolkata for a decade now.. ITC is also there.. its one of a case.. I feel the main issue is the unrest political scenario along with vested interests of the party unions.. the work culture is totally gone for a toss under the governance of the earlier rural party of bengal.. & now to add that total bengal became a battle ground of political parties.. more
Every Inverter wants to secure their investments. After Nano project who will dare to invest in WB. more
State politics is crippling India's development. Strong action needs to be taken against delinquent ones. Create a forum where projects are getting blocked by states can be discussed pan India. If states do not conform, start pressure tactics - like get the message out publicly, exerting public pressure, using legal forums and if required get a legislation that can be invoked if a state is becoming a roadblock. Trade Unions too require to be dealt with firm hand. Success would come if mass awareness is built in these states on the follies and misrule. more
I moved out of this state in 1969, where my childhood memories are still fresh and I love this state and peoples very much. Yes, you are right, biggest mistake was rule of Left Parties for 34 years. It is in no way a matter of pride but that of shame. With so clear mandate, they could not lift standard of people. There was hope that Didi will do something different, but her attitude has driven away industrialists away from the state. Case of Nano is subject to be considered. I heard Mr. Modi in an interview that he called Kolkata to be developed prime center which will bring growth not only to West Bengal but to all north east states and Bihar, Jharkhand and Orisha. Prior to 1969, Kolkata enjoyed very special status in industry and trade. Please note Ms Jayalalita is going to meet Mr Modi on Tuesday for her state. Is Didi planning such meeting? If she meets then I think Mr Modi will definitely do more for the eastern states in which Bengal is also a part. more
