Ban ads of sugary drinks on TV

Singapore has done it and its got generally educated consumers. Here in India people aspire to drink coke and pepsi. I know children in my Delhi family who are 12 and drink 3-4 glasses of these drinks a day. India should follow Singapore and ban ads of such drinks in all forms of media.

INDIA , THE DIABETES CAPITAL OF THE GLOBE.July 23, 2018

INDIA PRESENTLY SIGNIFIES 49% OF THE TOTAL DIABETIC PATIENTS IN THE WORLD , WITH AN ESTIMATE OF 72 MILLION CASES IN 2017 EXPECTED TO INCREASE BY A DOUBLE FOLD BY 2025
SINGAPORE THE DECISION MAKERS HAVE FORESIGHT AND CONCERN FOR PEOPLE , WHERE AS IN NEWLY DEVELOPING COUNTRIES THE POLITICIAN CAN’T THINK BEYOND 5 YEARS . IF THE ELECTIONS ARE NEARING, THIS PERIOD WILL FURTHE BE TRUCATED. TAKE ONE YEAR AT A TIME WILL BE THE MOTTO .

We have seen a lot of complaints and suggestions in Food Safety , connected consumers , Ayush to check the profiteering intentions through advertisements . Gone to deaf ears.
Probably the Government has left it to the Learned Citizens use their acumen to gauge the advertised products , whether causing, Diabetes , obesity Heart attacks , Cancer .

SO WE HAVE TO RISE TO THE EXPECTED LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATE OUR PROGENY AS WELL. more
