Bajaj Electrical continues profiteering

Bajaj Majestry MX 20 steam iron was priced at MRP 1099 on july 31, 2018 ( see website screenshot) on aug 23, 2018 same product had mrp 1499

Gst rate was reduced on july 27 from 28 to 18% so instead of passing benefit to consumer they increase MRP.

Please book them and even today MRP is 1499 on online sites

It is because, the GST enforcement team is not active and not taking steps. more
it looks like corruption is rampant even in the bigger companies whose credibility is at stake and no wonder the GST collections are lower because all these companies and also retailers and online portals engage in how to escape the gst and charge higher rates to the gullible customers
If in every city there is a GST monitoring cell to ensure that the revised rates are passed on to the customers and if not they need to inform the cell in their city who should take prompt action against the seller more
Even if the item had been produced during higher gst rates the mrp should not change from 1099 to 1499 as mentioned . more
I cannot understand one point - How people are expecting the prices to fall when GST rates are reduced by government announcements. There are some points to be noted. Prices will never be reduced by the manufacturers. If GST is reduced, they will charge the at the reduced rates of GST. But what about the input costs. Certain items fall within a higher bracket GST Range. Then how can the manufacturer sell products below cost of production? People are being misled that prices will fall when GST Rates are reduced. This is not the case. The select committee of people supervising the GST rates and the government are just making a fool of the public by announcing that prices will fall when GST rates are reduced. Prices will never be reduced and it is just a mockery to the public that the government is announcing reduced GST rates. The government is hell bent on taxing all items and the common people are the sufferers. With the introduction of GST, many people are not aware that items that were exempted under the VAT regime are now being brought under the tax bracket. Common people are being misguided by educated GST committee members and smart politicians by twisting the meaning of the legal terms to suit their convenience. The general public should never get the impression and the idea that prices will be reduced by lowering of GST rates. It will either remain the same or will be sold at a higher price. The government is just fooling the people by announcing that GST rates are reduced. But the general people will never know what is the trick behind these announcements. more
Manufacturer site rate can be challenge but u can not challenge to online seller there lot choices to purchasing offer for bulk customer like refurnished.factory second lot ,QC rejected and so on so const may be changes as per their purchasing and last one is corporate discount so they add the profit of their initial cost and sell one line at different rates more
