Antigen Testing could be understating positives

1,142 new Covid_19 cases reported in Delhi yesterday. 1,29,531 total infections. 29 new deaths, 3,806 total deaths. 12,657 active patients

20,509 new tests (14,819 antigen 5,690 RTPCR) yesterday. Attached all details and also details of containment zones.

I would like to urge CM Delhi to not do any antigen tests for 3 days and instead to only RTPCR tests. The nunbers of Delhi are somewhat lower because of antigen tests.
Please come forward and support. more

RTPCR test will give quite a large number of false positive cases because even a dead virus will give this test. In other words, even when a patient is cured, RT PCR will show positive as dead virus will not immediately removed from the body. Similarly antibody test. Even a cured patient will be positive. Antigen test is better provided the test kit is reliable. All the tests have positive and negative points. When covid19 treatment is over, antigen test is better option for discharging the patient. Most of the Covid19 can be cured by homeopathic medicine and I do not see any problem there except our regulatory authorities. more
Antigen tests are useless for detecting positive cases. It is quite well established that they are even less than 50% accurate. They are useful to confirm if people have had Covid and only onece both Igm and IGg antibodies are detected. Let us not fool people by giving out unreliable statistics. We need 20000 RT PCR tests daily. more
This is dangerous as such reporting makes a common man complacent and he will start taking precautions lightly which may further flare up the pandemic more
Seema is right. The government should not mislead the public by not reporting the actual number of cases per day which could be known with certainty with RTPCR tests only. more
totally agree more
