Airtel International Roaming :Full payment, No service

I recharged pack of Rs. 3997/- in my Airtel mobile number 9431730774 on 3rd April 19 for validity of 30 days. Throughout my stay abroad, the pack was never activated for 20 days. After lots of persuasion through emails (more than 40), then through Facebook pages all along, it was activated or started working from 23rd April. It means out of 30 days package, it hardly worked for 10 days and Airtel charged for 30 days. On raising this issue, Airtel compensated me a meager amount of Rs. 300/-. This money has also been utilized by Airtel customers care for complaining services.

This is totally unjustified, against the justice and amount to cheating by Airtel.
I requested Airtel to activate my pack for 30 days from the date of actual activation. Ie. from 23rd April till 22nd May.

Even after complaining to Airtel, they have not responded. I understand since Airtel failed to provide service for the pack, they are legally, bound to activate pack till 22nd May.

I expect Airtel to be honest with customers.

Go to consumer court. more
I too experienced the same issue of non functionality of International Roaming Packs. IR is not functional through out US but still it sends Msgs, emails to subscribe for IR and thus misleading its own customers. more
I too paid a pre-payment of Rs.500/- for a charge and recharge for Turkey but could not make even one call to India or local. I complained to AirTel but it said some data had been used and hence the money was depleted. I an a senior citizen and cannot even think of going to Consumer court for such a low amount. This led me thinking as to why the government cannot opt for stations (like police stations) for public grievances upto the sum of Rs.5,000/- to Rs.10,000/- where disputes can be settled without any hassles. Can Local Circles Managers please moot this idea? more
THIS SHOULD BE WIDELY PUBLICISED TO WARN POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. more
Airtel dealings are not fair. They always overcharge hapless customers on some pretext or the other. more
