Airlines finding new way to cheat

Despite trying to check in in advance a family of 3 cant get seats together which is extremely distressing in Covid times on Indigo.

Basically the airline is forcing you to pay for seats by jot letting u book them together.

Can LC escalate this? more

The system of securing seats of choice in a flight in advance by paying extra bucks was existing even during pre-covid era. Hence there is no point in accusing the airline operators for profiteering now. Running of an Airline is a very costly affair and all the airliners have passed a very hard time of more than 18 months and suffered heavy financial losses. Even now they are not permitted for 100% capacity utilisation. We should be thankful to them that despite facing such a long period of turmoil, they are present to offer us services, rather than accusing them. Either one should wait and get the seats allotted on the counters as per availability or purchase them of choice in advance by spending some extra prices. I personally believe that complaining for everything seeking government's intervention, that too, during a period when the nation is reeling under the grip of a pandemic, is not a healthy trend. more
Dear all, please for God sake understand that there is a virus transmitted as of 17/11/2019 but that will not kill as many as is reported . It's only common cold but those with other pre-existing debilitated phisique, they suffer. The fear transmitted by drug and Pharma mafia outlives our lives. Nothing short of that. Don't panic. Don't fear. Common cold is transmitted on the fourth day. Our sinus pockets are filled with fluid which if taken at that time is positive for the present trend. Travel by train. more
Now it is a question of survival during this financial crisis. Thee airlines are adopting all sorts of roots to increase their revenue, by adopting all adverse features. more
Boycott the airlines,. Travel by train through out India. Leave one day earlier than wanting to go by flight as a prestigious issue or saying like to save time, urgent meeting etc. If you plan nothing's impossible. While in train you meet a lot of people, see panoramic view of the country. Relax.etc. complaining will not help us. Govt action will be limited because their travel is not from their pocket, but common man money. more
Seriously, traveling by train in these times is not at all advisable. Meeting a lot of people who either don't wear a mask or wear it on the chin is not a worthwhile risk. more
I travelled from Chennai to Hyderabad by Indigo a few months ago. I was forced to pay 450 rupees extra for web check in; I am sure otherwise, they would have said that we have to sit in separate places had we done airport check in. We both are senior citizens. As it is, they are charging convenience fee. Like this, per ticket we have to pay extra another 600-800 rupees over the advertised fare. The LC should definitely take this up. In addition, at regular intervals, I keep getting promotional emails and SMS from Indigo. As it is a must to register our email and mobile numbers with them while booking online, we are unable to do much about this practice which is very, very intrusive and annoying. more
We did not take the train as corona infection was in full swing and with people not wearing masks, we could not take that risk considering the journey is about 16 hrs. It is the principle that is involved.
More importantly, it is the principle of charging whether airlines or other services. They should say upfront that the all inclusive (except food) charges. Now they are charging for booking (the so called convenience fee) and web checking - as it is we are saving for them by these because they do not have to pay any staff for all this and also for printing the boarding pass and luggage tag. This kind of thing is a mean, low and petty act. That is what I am protesting about. more
