Air India not responding to my complaint

Please note that I travelled from Trivandrum (my home town) to Kochi on 22.12.2016 in AI466.(Etickt No:0982119378775C1).

(My frequent flyer No.is:141517186)

On arrival at Kochi I couldn't find my checked-in luggage and it was missing.I made a complaint with the Kochi AI office and I was informed that they would get in touch with me once the bag was traced.

After 48 hours I was informed that the bag was mistakenly taken by another passenger(the details of the passenger is with AI Kochi office) and now he has returned it.I got my bag at 830 pm on 24.12.2016 from the Kochi Airport office.

Eventhough I got my bag it was 48 hours later.I had incurred expenses for purchasing a few clothes and toiletries which cost me around Rs.3000/-.I was on my way to Trichur from Kochi and my hotel booking were already made and paid for.There was no way I could have cancelled my trip.

After considerable messages to AI they seem to be not responding.

How can I take this issue forward.Looking forward for your help.

Apart from the Insurance You can also lodge complaint in Consumer Forum seeking Compensation including mental, Physical and other hardship and agony etc more  
I did not opt for travel insurance for this particular travel more  
When you book the tickets you should have also opted for travel insurance. If you have already done that, put up your claim with the ininsurance company. Mohan Sankaranarayanan. more
