Addressing the Dangerous Pollution in Delhi NCR
Many of you have been actively discussing the subject of air quality and solutions needed to address it. Below is the collective feedback on what needs to be done to address one of the major root causes of pollution - stubble burning.

Stubble Burning is not the good thing for environment....!!
Stubble is not the wastage. We also use it is as recycle because many time before the stubble is use for house lentar for maintaining the room temperature and also for room freshness. So, I hope this little think is useful think for our nation.

In addition to stubble burning there are issues to be addressed. We only focus on stubble burning in November and than forget every other contributor to Air pollution. Yes we should resolve stubble issue and provide necessary help to farmers. But most important is DDA's inaction on contractors who dig road side due to various reasons such as cable laying etc. and leave it without repairing the dug part with cement or RCC. They leave the mud as it is. When vehicle pass by dust mixes in to Air and spoil it's AQI. This may be due to two reasons either specification are not framed properly by state Government agency I.e DDA or it is corruption of executing officers. This need to be set right which is major contributor to Air pollution. more

For stublle burning, the best is to--
1. Create private agencies work on stubble cutting and collecting, which will be commercial venture with some equipment support in the start
2. Provide pick up service with some incentive for farmers to cut and keep it for pick up
Also Odd Even scheme is a farce and its better to
1. first implement with seriousness the PUC check for all vehicles in strict manner
2. In addition Smog towers to purify air and Vaccum cleaners for road cleaning need to be deployed for meeting all contingencies, so also
3. planting lot of trees in all open spaces regularly and make Ridge and other large parks thick forest all around
