Addressing India's Skewed Sex Ratio - Whitepaper

Dear Friends:

Below is the link to our 1 page compilation on what needs to be done to address India's Skewed Sex Ratio.

http://tinyurl.com/India-s-Skewed-Sex-Ratio

Each one of you is requested to share the same with your contacts to create awareness about this subject as well as educate your staff and others that you come in contact with (esp the illiterate and not connected section of our society)

The same is being shared with Ministry of Women & Child Development so they can build our recommendations into their plans, workings and media campaigns.

We will also look at exploring the possibility of building Women Safety/Empowerment circles at a national/local levels with them.

Thanks for your participation!

I agree with Andi Nadar and CSN Sarma.Awareness programmes shall be through media/TVs or radios to be taken up by Govt and social bodies/organizations on eradication of dowry system and giving birth either female or male shall be respectable by parents. Govt shall be serious in these matters and culprits shall be punished. Unless punishment is made nothing will be set right and it is in the hands of Govt as law and order in the purview of Govt G.K.Naidu, Hyderabad more
THE WHOLE SOCIETY BEFORE INTRODUCTION OF SCANNING SYSTEM WAS WELL SAFE. IF GENDER FINDING SYSTEM IS ELIMINATED FROM THE APPLICATION, IT WOULD BRING BACK THE-THEN SAFE SOCIETY. FAMILY PLANNING I.E., THE CONTROL OF GIVING THE BIRTH IS LEGALLY OR POLITICALLY AUTHORIZED AND PUT INTO PRACTICE. IT IS INDEED A DREAM-FULL TO ASSESS THAT THE INDIVIDUALS OR THE SOCIETY COULD BE CONVINCED OF THE HUMANITY OR MANKIND OR GENEROSITY EVEN IN THESE MODERN DEMOCRACY ORIENTATION BY SEVERAL ASSOCIATIONS IN THE LIGHT OF THE POVERTY TO FEED THEIR OWN CHILDREN . AT-LEAST LET US RE-DRESS BEING EVEN THE LEGAL CITIZEN OF INDIA. more
MODIJI,FARMERS ARE DYING,WORKERS ARE IN PAIN AND DON'T YOU FEEL ABOUT THEM ?DO SOME DRASTIC AND RAPID WORK AND SHUT MOUTHS OF OPPOSITION LEADERS,I DON'T WHEN THEY BLAME MODIJI FOR FAILURE BECAUSE ITS CONGRESS' PAWAR'S FAILURE NOT MODIJI'S,SO TAKE QUICK STEPS ABOUT HELPING FARMERS AND GAIN TRUST AGAIN more
Intensive Campaign mode for another say 25 or 50 years to eradicate the Indian mind set favoring male child disfavoring girl child is a must to bring a change in attitude Specialized fertility centers to assure couples who already have had more than a girl child to beget a son -at free service or govtsubsidy Complete eradication of dowry system in any form by stringent application of Law In areas or communities where sex ratio is skewed special plans programs to take corrective measures like support to educate and marry girls. more
1. Think about the BASIC Male responsibilities and Female responsibilities of A FAMILY OF INDIAN HERITAGE BEFORE A STEP FORWARD. Kindly think once again whether we Can reform this way since it is the question of the individuals of the whole Society. Already many of the Indian Families are starving for survival due to lack of Jobs to the Indian Males which has left a big task for redress. 2. Please think of the part of the Government about the vested Financial Benefit in the shape of Property to the Married Female members gifted under the the Amendment Act 2005. The Unmarried Female's part of the such property goes to her Education etc., Costs and the Marriage Expenses if not there exists no dowry which is under absolute justice. The injustice and the way of property passage in respect of the definition and coverage of the Word Dowry is legally and Socially justified to be JUSTIFIED. more
