I have cervical spondylitis for last more than four decades. I also have lumbar spondylitis for more than six years. I practice the following to maintain body weight and avoid any increase: 1. Strict control of food intake: both quantity and quality and timing. Avoid added sugar, low fat and low salt. 2. Regular pranayama and suksma asanas, 3. Brisk morning walk for about one hour and ten minutes daily. Till date I have been able to achieve my objectives on body weight. more

No. Please avoid skipping but must do brisk walk daily atleast for 30 minutes. more
Someone is telling you if you had a back pain and it was gone skipping proves it really do not try for nothing even then it is like risk of messing it up by accident. more
Pl do take up some expert advice before attempting. It will also depend on the cause of the back pain. Skipping may aggravate the conditions causing the pain. I have been advised not to do skipping for the time being at least. more
