The government has approved 8.65 percent interest rate on employees provident fund for 2018-19, which will now be credited into the accounts. Earlier it was 8.55% more

Why not on PPF for individuals not covered onder EPF. After all these are part of social security schemes. Every one who is not employed tries to get cover under PPF. Govt. should think over this. more  
very simple got. is trying all those who collecting epf amount must deposit in time the relevant dues and gain the best opperunity available. more  
Though Govt. expects everyone to be punctual in paying e.g. Itax date, Advance tax date etc etc, they themselves are biggest defaulter. Till now the amount is not credited to EPF passbook. It's funny to see Tom & Jerry fight between Finance & EPF after half of next Fin year is over. This is nothing but delay strategy by Fin Ministry and you will lose the compound interest on increased amount totaling to good saving for Govt. more
