Recently I went for Domestic gas cyliner connection of Indane. The dealer is forcing to buy other accessories like gas stove, lighter, cooker, frying pan. This is illegal as per Supereme court's directive. If i deny, he would deny me a connection. What to do ? He is the only gas dealer available near to my house. more

please submit a letter that gas connection is pending as per their allotment letter and you have already have the necessary accessories and will buy them as and when required . they cannot indefinitely hold up your connection. take acknowledgement and send reminders as to when will it be done. these reminders will expedite the connection. more  
They do that initially if they think the customer is gullible. But if you insist in asking them to show you where the rule is given and try and get the phone no. where you can complain they backtrack. Only if it is a new connection, they will say that they a mechanic will come and certify your existing gas stove and charge you for that. more  
IT is not CORRECT. THere must be telephone no written in bold letter of GAS authorities and also it must be printed on gas booklet provided to us, so as to have a talk of the sean

It is not mandatory to purchase the non LPG items from the LPG Distributor. However in many areas, the practice prevails, primarly because the customers do not object beyond a certain point. Now a days customer complaints are given due importance by the Oil Companies, unlike earlier days. Aggrieved customer should approach the concerned Oil Company marketing office, like Area Office and register a complaint. Complaints can be registered even on line now. Being an Oil Company executive, I can assure you that prompt action will be taken for redressal of complaints which are brought to the attention of the responsible officer. more
