7th Central Pay Commission (CPC)

GOI has accepted 7th CPC at cost of 0.65 % of GDP i.e. about Rs102100 crore from tax payers pocket. I don't know, what was the hurry to take such a huge burden, especially when the economy is under recession? Following adverse affects may be faced in near future:
• Lesser fund will be available for plan expenditure.
• Further increase of market price and miseries to poor, middle class and private sector workers due to the sudden infusion large amount to a small section of people.
• Encourage corruption and frustration to State Govt Employee/Officers of poor states like West Bengal, Tripura etc who will unable to increase their staff’s salary in line with CPC.
For example, in West Bengal a divisional accountant deputed from GOI under Executive Engineer of respective engineering division, a joint secretary of nominated IAS under special secretary of state cadre etc in different department will get almost double salary than their office master! Nobody knows how hierarchy of such offices will function. It will simply frustrate the honest and efficient state govt officers and result may be disastrous on developmental projects!
Lastly, as a tax paying citizen, I simply ask one question -could we expect at least 1 (one) % decrease in corruption and similar increase in efficiency from existing level in Govt administration? more

WHAT about the Responsibility and Accountability?????? NOW the Officials will earn more than Legislatures i.e. MP and MLA without any Responsibility and Accountability. Moreover they are well protected under the pretext of "Performing the DUTIES". Simple Example is that there are 135000+ illegal Building in Single District, encroached Govt land BUT NO ACTION. As against this one will receive the NOTICES even for internal repairing of his legal house. Law abiding people will have to pay heir taxes invariably, but these constructions are getting legalized every five years when the NEW Govt. takes place. This is our DEMOCRACY more
I want to know the AP C.M Chandrababu naidu votu ku notu case. more
We citizens pay crores of INR as direct and indirect taxes from the moment we get up from the bed till our night sleep, after the death, to the Govts apart from service tax of 15%. Politicians, the so called law makers(as said by Mr. Lalu Prasad yadav), govt employees take home our money as fat salaries. This is apart from huge amount they take interpreting endless Govt Acts and Rules and cornering even the educated citizens. more
Just sorry to say ideas on private sector salary (except very few multinational companies) of most of the 7 th CPC benefitted officers is just like ideas of the nation based on views of the country from windows of Rajdhani Express or windows up above the sky! Present CTC of middle management and senior management level officers of standard production sector/construction... companies are within Rs 7.2 lac and 12.5 lac. Pl check and compare with the CTC of pay band 3 and 4 officers, not to compare on work load! more
Recommendations of 7th Pay commission is welcome. However, the way organised sectors are marginalising the unorganized sectors, this will perpetuate inequity, concentrate social power at the detriment of the majority and stir unrest. Higher pay and perks for the Masters should go hand in hand with measures those will address social inequities. more
