51% residents need to approve individual power connection
Seems like with our repeated posts finally UP Electricity Regulatory Commission is now implementing the right approach. Its optional to take individual flat power connections in a society and 51% flat owners must vote for it to happen.

It is god step but still there electricity theft being practiced openly in some of the cities of UP where population is congested particularly the old areas of the cities and state electricity department must identity and stop the theft of electricity to prevent the loss of tax payers money. more

iT IS GOOD, Every one has individual connection, billing is not on the basis of individual connection. Utility can do and it is easy for them to collect data from same location. more

Activists of ANY kind are a scourge on our society. Though I agree that ALL power connections should be against individual applicants. There should not be any common metering practice. This leads to corruption. All would be surely aware that even for cleaning staff, such aspects are rampant. All would notice that the cleaning staff do much better work in and around the homes of the Society President/ Chairman/ Secretary, etc. The problem is with us..... it is we who spoil all systems. more
