3947 cases yesterday

Delhi recorded 3,947 fresh COVID19 cases. Its Highest single-day spike so far. We need to be extra careful.

66,602 total infections.
68 deaths in last 24 hrs.
2,301 total deaths so far.
24,988 active patients.

Thanks everyone for your appreciation. Please continue to share real experiences like Ashok Dua ji. This one is very real and many people have gotten it without socialising while at home or going out for basic essentials. Need to restrict as much movement till this thing passes.

I am sure it will. Would had been faster had Delhi been shut for 1 month completely. Thats where the Govt has failed us. However, we shall overcome. more

Suddenly lots of parties started talking about economy while a little more maturity and response and support to PM could have gone a long way in controlling virus -- few steps - 1 People should have willingly take a salary cut and work from home 2 People should have continued to ask their workers maids etc to stay at their home while paying them may be 60 % salary 3 govn offices esp are calling people talking of 100% attendence some of these people only come for attendence and big source of spreading virus 4 So the decision to get work how be left to individual officers rather than 1 size fits all -calling too many people in office is illogical 5 A good opportunity to substitute manual with online that can be a big help 6 Decision to give alcoholic beverages online can really reduce spread 7 reduce office hours time so that people come for upto 5 hours do work no break and go back home more
Most of the people are taking the necessary precautions; few comments here are judgmental. Some errors or lapses may be happening. In my case as explained y/day, the infection could have come from the nature of job of one of my family members where he has had to interact with hospital staff etc. Also, the home quarantine may not be strictly followed by individuals; hence Govt's decision to discontinue home quarantine should be a welcome move... No doubt this is the time to be extra cautious... Regards. more
It is indicated that Delhi to be closed for one month . When Delhi plan to close borders or restricted movement across NCR even though Gurugram ,Ghaziabad, FDB ,Noida restricted movements , Every party made hue and cry.. UK is going to open its hotels, malls etc from 4 th July when they found that confirmed cases are down. Lets now cross our fingers more
Increase is due to young crowd not following rules--masks , social distance,.Also one do not take care like washing vegetables, fruits , touching milk bags etc.One rings bells and open gates --Cleaning is not done -eg santization on bells, gates ,locks . Thats what happen even people don,t go out but mistakes of other and prevention measures are not taken more
The fate of Delhi is dependent on the Delhi Admin, but more important is the behaviour of Delhi residents themselves. All people must follow the rules of Mask and distancing, along with regular washing of hands. I think this is not being done by certain category of people. more
