25% infection rate in Delhi

1,877 fresh COVIDー19 cases in Delhi in last 24 hrs. Biggest single-day jump so far. 34,687 total infections so far.

101 new deaths. 65 deaths in last 24 hrs. 1,085 total deaths so far.

58732 tests done, 14743 cases reported from June 1st to 10th. 25% infection rate. This is the the situation when asymptomatic patients are not tested which are around 70 to 80 % of all the corona positive cases.

I am sorry to repeat but Delhi Govt needed to handle this better. Why was the urgency to unlock everything unless they were trying to prove something more

It's almost 3 months we are facing this unprecedent crisis. In this hour when we need the most ,we find our elected representatives missing . In fact the representatives whether corporation/ state assembly / look sabha should have in each area should have joined hands irrespective of party lines and provide help centers to guide and assist them for their needs in terms of whatever assistance is required. Since this pandemic is going to be there for some more months still we can have our acts together . Let's see our MP, MLA,COUNCILORS and RWA for once come on a common platform and work for the society as they all claim to have this passion . We all know such situation comes once in 100 yrs. Your Government has already said that we are in community spread . But The Real Rulers of Delhi Does not believe. Center had very little test kits to deliver , initially. See here how less testing has impacted https://factly.in/data-covid-19-testing-in-india-other-countries/ . Your MCD , again another set of rulers , does not have money to pay to doctors and Safai Karmchari's. All they can give is thali bajana and Flowers. Dont know where do they get so much money to fight elections ? States need money. Government , at center, is not willing to give a lot of help. All States even the BJP ruled ones cannot continue with lockdown for long. Opening up is important for revenues. At present, people of Delhi need to make all the Governments : Center , state , MCD , accountable. Demand them to work together to protect individuals of Delhi. Not to mention, Delhi is also NCR. You guys bear the load of all western UP to Haryana people. You cannot block entry - like Karnataka could do for Kerala and Maharashtra people . So be resilient, be careful , take all precautions. But ask Governments to work together to protect the citizens. This is only way it can be controlled. more
why did the central govt lift the lockdown. why are they giving ads on TV to tell people to not be afraid of covid and move out of the houses to work. if they think state govts. are irresponsible why did they delegate their job to the state govts. at all. why did the centre shy away from declaring health emergency. why is the centre not declaring this to be a community spread city. what preparations did the central govt. do for tackling this menace in the lockdown period. 2 MCD hospital doctors have not been paid for 3 months and are threatening to put down their coats. Why are people not imposing a self regulated lockdown. more
The government has predicted > 500,000 cases by 31st July. We will be competing with USA for highest number of cases. I guess in addition to the government health is an individual responsibility too and all preventive measures need to be taken by us as well. If we get Covid infection we are at the mercy of Almighty as there are grossly inadequate beds and ventilators , so folks minimize outings to the extent possible more
I agree- the situation is going to be out of control in few days more
