100% jump in MP salary

BJP is not learning from the experience & hence losing plot after plot. When AAP increased their salary, whole nation slammed, including BJP leaders. Before memory fades from public's mind, BJP is agreeing for 100% jump for their salary. It was the time when BJP should have set example, instead walked in to the trap in which opposition, having enjoyed the benefit, target the BJP at appropriate time. Whole country is angry on opposition for the disruption of parliament & BJP instead of capitalizing on this, has rubbed the salt on the wound by announcing the increase. BJP should have floated the idea of salary as per the business done so that opposition would have restrained from disruption for future period. more

Pay should be tied to work. Days of disruptions means no pay to anyone. If they keep getting pay hikes after no work done, why will they work? It is much easier to cause disruptions more
Hold them accountable to their jobs. They need to work for the pay. My mantra is pay them well (so that they don't get corrupt) and hold them accountable. Parliament, political parties and government needs to have systems in place to ensure that they are earning their salaries. Today they are getting it without working but systems should ensure that they earn it. What we are missing from a lot of government departments and political leadership is ACCOUNTABILITY. HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE. more
After no work in Rajya Sabha. there is absolutely no need to reward them with a pay hike...This is like a free loot...They don't deserve it at all...No way.. more
I don't see anything wrong in paying reasonable amount of salary to bureaucrats and politicians. This needs to be done so that it would deter them from being corrupt. Let us learn from what is working in many other countries and follow that after careful analysis. Pay them well and hold them accountable to their jobs. If you catch them being corrupt then punish them severely. Unfortunately since we can't ensure that corruption would be weeded out we object to rise in their salaries but over a period of time I think that is the solution pay them well and ensure that they are not corrupt. more
