Chakresh ji, kadipatta is also a very good vermifuge. Take a two filstfull leaves, washed and cleaned, grind them nicely into a paste with a bit of hing and a four seeds of black pepper. Make small golis like churan golis and give to the patient on empty stomach for a few days to expel all intestinal worms. Dosage depends on the age of the patient from one to a small child to three to four to elder patients. Not only it rids the intestines of worms, it improves the entire digestive system. And this works. more

Curry leaves, I believe, are called KADI PATTA in Hindi. Karivepaaku in Telugu and Karivepalli in Tamil. I am also told it is called Meetha Neem in Hindi as the leaves resemble Neem leaves (but without the cut and scrambled edges like Neem leaves) but are not as bitter as Neem. These form an important part of South Indian cooking. We also make chutni with the green tender leaves for consumption with rice( also tasts good with Chapati/Roti) and we also make a very tasty powder to be consumed with Idlies and also with rice. I can give the recipe separately for those interested. more
