Now we are being forced to replace old vehicle in the name of pollution, old vehicles hardly contribute more pollution , a study in this field is essential because replacing older vehicle is difficult for senior citizens not eligible for pension and other benifits. more

Pollution only comes from the exhaust pipe of any vehicle, whether old or new. That should be the criterion for discarding a vehicle. Age has no bearing on pollution, this logic is completely flawed. A truck or bus can run 5 lakh km in five years, cabs easily run one lakh km per year. A car may not run even 15000 km in 15 years. Who will pollute more out of these? more

You may be correct but how will u see the kilometers run by a vehicle? It is possible only when the manufacturer creates a log file since sale of the vehicle. more
