There is a lot of problems in the PF deptt due to which people, after leaving their jobs, have to visit the office repeatedly to get the PF amount and Pension. Some people have to forcibly forego the amounts which is legitimately due to them.
The concerned persons in the PF deptt who are handling the account should be held accountable, and if any person has faced problem due to negligence of these peoples work, some amount should be deducted from the salary of these concerned persons and given to the sufferer. It is only when this financial penalty is levied on them, that will take care of the work and documents.

For my pension I have visited maximum three times. Not because of them but incomplete documents which they have guided for my betterment. Now it is credited every month on 1 st with out fail for one year. Than you have to presence either in bank or PF office . I feel now thinks are changed due to on lone , even after applying PF refund or pension you can check on line. I am satisfied rest I do not comment more

Yes, we also need to monthly statement towards the amount, our employers had deposited with PF as Employer's contribution and employee as well. Our PF Account should be accessible online with an user ID amd password. Thanks more

Most of the problems are faced due to inadequate procedural knowledge. Why the person visits the office. It is not required at all. Please comply with documentation and even can send application form by speed post. The pension gets credited to the bank account from the retrospective date. I had not gone to EPF office even once . This is based on my personal experience. EPFO may provide information with timelines on its website if not already done. more

Do not expect a migrant labour to master procedural knowledge. even at times a literate person is not clear about the procedures. how many times your PF office has approached to advice/guide you on procedures. Only thing they are interested in sending notices for inspection and threaten you with penalty n damages n extract bribe from employers. deduction from their earnings n promotion on the basis of employers recommendation among others is mendatory for an efficient PF office. It will get rid off many evils like, babudom/lethargic-reckless attitude towards members n employers. more
