Why an employer is made a scapegoat to approve the KYC like Adhaar, PAN and Bank account of employee

As all KYCs of a person are personal and private identity which a person has to present for seeking any benefit from Govt. or for identity pupose. It is issued by the various Govt agencies after taking appropriate reagrding secrecy and identification. Moreover these Govt agencies has the infrastruture and resources to keep, store and update these data of KYCs. The employer has no access to check the autheticity of these KYCs. Getting information from employee/worker and supplying to EPFO/Esi deptt is ok but the burden of authenticity and approval by owner/employer with DSC is against fairplay as no tool is available with employer to check the correctness of KYCS specially ADHAR,PAN and BANK account of workers.

Govt. identities like Aadhar and PAN etc are auto approved without Employer's intervention. Only personal matters like bank accounts etc need to be checked by Employer for obvious reasons. more

May I know how they check personal matters? As far as I know, India is a democratic country (at-least according to scholars & intellectuals), has human rights (at-least in constitution, if not in reality), has data privacy (at-least intellectuals & big data company CEOs talsk about it in media & magazines). An actual person had been employed by employer who has taken pain & paid bribes in so many dept. to get his identity approved on paper/system & one can get a clue that, OP is aware of KYCs & seems well educated (definitely has brain & can fill his account number seriously & responsibly for himself, if he can register & validate his UAN/EPF account), then, why a third party private company is needed to approve his personal data? Bank account number is also very very much personal data. If all citizens has been given access to a online platform to review/access their EPF account information & passbook, why does it needs approval of a third party private person? Such kind of things are only used by employers to take advantage of/harass innocent employees on this tiny stuff as well. more

Since NPS withdrawal has been made tax free. Online migration in full or part to NPS account from PF account should be made. more
