We have not been able to buy vegetables since last Thursday i.e. 19th March, 2020. vegetable vendors from whom we used to buy our daily supply. When vendors come out to sell police beat them up & chase them.

When government announces total shut down, isn't it's duty to ensure that citizens get basic food items & vegetables? We all know, understand how serious is Covid-19/Corona but to save us from infecting self & others, we are worried of dieing of hunger.

Can't our local Corporators arrange for vegetables in their respective areas. they are only active when they need votes.
1. The lock-down that is so bothersome for many of our countrymen, a soldier on the Line of Control (LOC) experiences day in and day out. He does not have the luxury of a TataSky, Netflix, an attached bath or even a full sized bed. Yet he is in quarantine.
2. Countrymen have the luxury of luxury of disobeying the lock-down (unfortunately so)!! Your worry is the virus, his a sniper bullet. You may survive the virus his chances are very low, should he expose himself. What you are experiencing is a lighter version of the life on LOC.
3. If our soldiers can do it day in and day out without even basic amenities, surely you can also, with all attached luxuries at your disposal. For the sake of your soldiers that guard you day and night in extreme circumstances surely you can do your bit for his family, your family, by staying indoors.
4. Stay indoors, stay safe and let others be safe. Your lock-down, your quarantine is temporary but NOT the bullet on LOC. Think of the soldier and please stay indoors.
And Remember- THIS TOO SHALL PASS! more

1.NOBODY WILL DIE OF HUNGER FOR SOME DAYS. And it is better to fall sick because of hunger for a few days than fall sick and ..... (God forbid) because of COVID-19.
2. One infected person has capability to infect 2.6 persons in ONE DAY, upto 3500 PERSONS IN 5 to 6 DAYS and so on. The infection chain is horrifying in it's persistence due to human stupidity. Hopefully 21 days lock-down, as announced by our our Honorable PM Sh Narinder Modi (and I truly salute him for this), provided it is implemented and observed in all sincerity by all people across the Nation, will help us greatly in India.
3. These are difficult times and ALL have to learn to face these, bear these and help Your Family, Yourself and Health authorities in combating situation arising out of COVID-19 outbreak. EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES REQUIRE DRASTIC, HARSH MEASURE TO COMBAT THESE. PERIOD!!!
4. We are NOT Italy, France, Spain, Germany or any of the other developed nations, AND LOOK AT THEIR CONDITION NOW BECAUSE THEY DID NOT TAKE LOCK-DOWN INSTRUCTIONS SERIOUSLY, DESPITE HAVING THE HEALTHCARE AND INFRASTRUCTURE AMONG THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!. We can Not combat Stage-3 and beyond of COVID-19. I shudder to even think of that scenario!!
5. Local civil authorities, in different states and districts of India, have taken different measures to mitigate the everyday admin difficulties of common people and continuation of essential services. They have to be informed of police atrocities/over-enthusiasm in implementing the lock-down. Timings have been laid down, along with other instructions to cater to the daily needs of people. We have to adhere to these. more

Matter need be brought to the notice of the Hon'ble Prime Minister. Congratulatory 'Thali' sounding from the public, but 'Lathi' from the Police! Obviously, those are having enough and assured resources 'direct to their home' from multiple channels, need not bother about the hunger of others - whether sellers or buyers. more
