The Crude Oil prices changes daily on spot market, but India is not buying Crude Oil form the spot market but from the Gulf countries once or twice a month.

India's import price, exchange rate and consumption are available at Government of India's website www.ppac.org.in. You will find that, by fooling the common man that they are buying crude oil every day, the Oil Companies are making an additional profit of Rs 5 to 10 per litre which makes them pocket around 100 to 200 crores per day as import costs based on our consumption!!

The question is, why does the Government permit the Oil Companies to revise the prices every day when countries like USA revises petroleum prices only once or twice in 6 months taking the average price?

It's time that we join together to stop the looting of Oil companies !

The fixed cost and variable cost of the Petroleum companies should be monitored. Further the advertisement and promotional expenses too should be analysed. The modification of the Petrol Pumps has to be properly checked. It is a known fact that the modification of the Canopies or erection of new canopies is a big scam from the time it was first introduced. How much does a canopy for a Petrol Pump cost? Check the expenses pertaining to the same. This is looting. The involvement of top management and middlemen and of course politicians is sure. more
