The Gandha Nala runs through the Residential area specifically Sector-41 and Aghapur. A portion of it covered years back. But the rest of the portion is still to be done. The toxic fumes from the dirty water of the Nala is hazardous to human health causing breathing problems to the residents living close proximity of the Nala. The toxic gas spoils the metal components of the house. A metal water tap turns black in six months. The electronic gadgets goes bad in months. The ACs gas licks out in six months.
So you can now imagine what this toxic gas doing to the health of the Residents... children, old people!!
All the above can be stopped by covering the portion of Nala passing through the Residential area. Submitted.

Same issue in sector 45 sadarpur area, daily wages noida authority worker doing there daily routine work in main lane but they don't clean gali area nali. Probably clean once or two times in a year at the time of festival season and demand money for cleaning if people refuse to pay they can't clean that area. Noida is considered one of the best city, facilities available are world class. However, the Nallas passing thru almost all the sectors of Noida are matter of shame for people living in Noida . Nala not only spoils the esthetic look but the residents living nearby to the NALAS are to spend huge amount of money, annually, to repair their appliance like Ac, Fridge, LSD etc. The gasses emitting from Nalas are hazardous , not only to humans but to appliance/ equipment also more

It will not be a wise action to cover the nala from environmental point of view. It may be done at very small places . Right action will be to develop the Nala Banks . and ensure that adequately treated water is discharged into it. more

This is a very complex matter. I had sent a letter o the CEO of Noida Authority long long back but no action was taken. I had written in that letter that all these nala's in Noida be given to the builders under PPP scheme where in these nala's will be covered as was done many dacade S back in Karolbagh, REHGARPURA NALA, which was covered by the DELHI government and it is now a flourishing market. It was such a stinking place before it was covered.
The Noida nala's can be converted in to small markets and offices as well as multi-storey buildings can be build on these nala's and the Noida Authority can earn such a huge revenue out of this. The Noida Authority can plan the beautification of all these N alas and save the residents from this unhygienic atmosphere which is resulting into huge inconvenience to the residents.

Covering is not the solution. Covering it will create many more issues, will just hide it from eyes. The gases will accumulate inside and be more hazardous. Solution is to get it cleaned and also check what goes into it. The sewage which goes needs to be treated properly. more
