Absence of consistency is the biggest issue with water supply here. In terms of timings, cleanliness, and potability. Sewer lines are not laid, and relaid without prior intimation safety of the road on which they are laid out here. Every year before monsoons, silt is taken out from the manholes and left in front of them.

It is worse than it was before. Since this is a university, on earlier occasions water was supplied in the morning for an hour even in times of crisis. Now, there are days when we get no water at all. It is a terrible mess.

Pathetic

Water supply to industries in Okhla Industrial Area Phase I is very erratic and minimal. Our factory is located in DSIDC Complex where water supply comes rarely and that too for a very short period while water flows openly on roads and open drains in nearby Indira Camp J J cluster. Due to lack of water supply, we have to depend on water tankers to meet our day to day water requirements. Although the water supply is so less, water bills come with heavy fixed and other charges. Our meter also stopped working a few years back and we were being issued ad hoc bills by the DJB with consumption very high than our actual consumption. On top of that we were issued a bill of huge arrears immediately after we had cleared our all pending charges which the DJB also accepted that it was issued wrongly. Inspite of our repeated letters for the past few years to Zonal Revenue officer, Sarita Vihar no action has yet been taken to rectify the discrepencies in our billing and fresh bills are being issued including heavy old charges and due to non payment of such high charges by us pending rectification in bills, our due payment is getting compounded every month due to levy of LPSC in every bill and getting more and more difficult for us to pay such heavy dues.
