As per my own experience, the govt. is moving in the right direction with many pro poor and for general public initiatives. The beginning is good, but this thrust needs to be maintained and sustained. Overall execution in a time bound manner, monitoring and removing bottle necks are the key issues. Also on some fronts e.g. SWACHH BHARAT CAMPAIGN etc. now time has come to introduce punitive measures so as to force the public to observe the rules of the game. SO NO LET UP, BUT MORE AGGRESSIVE APPROACH TO SOLVE DECADES OLD PROBLEMS. Berry

There is need to have a parking policy in place, keeping in mind the problems of those who park there vehicles on road side. Not all vehicle owners are at fault. They have vehicles and have paid road tax also. Facilities must be provided for proper parking lots or similar arrangements as per requirements in various nodes, sectors and housing societies by meticulously planning it. Only then the parking laws/ rules can be imposed strictly. Without such arrangements, it will definitely be not possible for the authorities to implement the parking rules. However, till then checking and preventing haphazard parking may be corrected by the traffic police with the help of housing societies/ commercial establishments and other concerned people/ bodies. Generally, the police personals pick up few vulnerable person's bikes or four wheelers' and let them go after taking some money illegally. The corrupt practices on part of some of the traffic constables and junior officers are also responsible for the menace of wrong parking and traffic violations.

I have seen only in new Mumbai area specially in Airoli, Koperkhairne, samosa, Ghansoli. These areas are having most of the four wheeler parked outside the residence building. So much of problem in day time to move. What exactly Navi Mumbai Traffic control or RTO is doing? No cleanliness due to vehicle parked outside. Many are lying idle past 6-7 months, may be more. Can we get any law by NMMC for parking outside residence? Sunday seems some local corporates come with their group of swatchh Bharat to clean street, without cleaning under the standing vehicle.

There is need for enforcement for keeping road clear from parking and no use of mobile while on road. May i request these to include in inforcement priorities and miticuously enforced.
