In our area illegal constructions in Gokhale nagar area is horrible.bungalow owners are expected to follow rules and regulations of Building Construction,where as the same rule are not followed in sanctioning constructions of Gokhale nagar chawl type houses. Originally these were constructed for Panshet flood affected people.Originally the individual houses were of max.275 sq.ft. The same are now being converted to three to four storied buildings covering avarage area of 3000 Sq.ft to 4000Sq.ftby using front and back margins stipulated by the PMC and even encroaching on internal roads and main roads.This is horrible state and unless such constructions are demolished ,I don't think our city is eligible for "Smart city" status.
Garbage collection system is good compared to other area because of local people's interest and vigilence and now the mind set of resident has been changed for more cleanliness.
