Passport Seva Kendra, Pune is not up to the mark at all. They are very non-cooperative and always in a hurry to send back the persons with a minimum shortcoming in documents. They wont tell you in clear terms what would suffice the purpose of issuing a passport without a hitch. Equipped with so much of high tech systems but do not have a printed format for refusing an application assigning a specific reason. Sometimes it appears that they themselves are confused about the exact requirement of documents for issuing a passport. My spouse was denied a passport for over a year in spite of having all the supportive docs like PAN, Aadhaar, date of birth certificate from school, Passport of spouse working in govt sector, BSNL/MSEDCL bills, Property tax bills, local references with contact details, EPIC card, Passbook of nationalized bank and so on. They negated everything as if we are non-nationals, as if we must have to go through an agent to get it done. Shame on them and their arrogance to the applicants irrespective of their age and genuineness.
