Disgusting is only word to explain the entire procedure of waste management by KMC & HMC. Road side garbage hips and manual truck system cant work in over populated cities. Over all City surrounding have open drainage system and manual unhygienic system for cleaning of drainage waste and dumped garbage leads to mesh here. Politically Kolkata have become London in past years but actual fact is it has deteriorated in over all cleanliness. I don't only blame politics but its all about ill mentality of people who don't want or demand it to be better.

No change in last three years. A few days ago I was in Bengaluru and notices the garbage collection is now in two separate bins, 1) kitchen waste or wet waste. and 2) Dry waste or recyclable waste. In Salt lake Kolkata, there is no such change till date. Outside the housing complex, the roads remain strewn with paper and plastic garbage in addition to tree leafs and branches.

Garbage Management in KMC is not upto the mark. Garbage Collector/Dustbin should be placed everywhere not only at the bus stop. Proper campaigning should be organised so that common people change their mind and keep their city clean. The sweeper (appointed by KMC) should be well instructed to clean the roads and their surroundings properly. Their should be an online grievance cell so that each citizen should drop their feedback and it will be reviewed by the respective dept of KMC and should proper action.
